(CHARLOTTE, N. C.)—Alan G. Dexter, a partner in the Charlotte office of Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP, was named Chair of the Board of Directors of the Charlotte Regional Partnership (CRP). Mr. Dexter, who has served on the CRP Board of Directors and Board Operations Committee since 2004, will serve a one-year term as Chair.
A nonprofit, public/private economic development organization, the Charlotte Regional Partnership leverages regional resources to market the 16-county Charlotte region as a superior place to do business. The Partnership’s business development activities position Charlotte USA for sustained, long-term growth, job creation and investment opportunities.

Mr. Dexter focuses his legal practice on representing real estate owners and lenders, and foreign companies doing business in the Carolinas.
In addition to his work with CRP, Mr. Dexter serves as Board Vice Chair of the U.S. National Whitewater Center.
Mr. Dexter received his JD, with honors, from Duke University and his BA, with distinction, from Cornell University.
