Dick Unger Reelected to SC Bar House of Delegates

(CHARLESTON, S.C.)Richard M. Unger, a Partner in the Charleston office of Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP, was reelected to the South Carolina Bar House of Delegates. He will serve as a delegate of the Ninth Judicial Circuit and his term will begin on July 1, 2012.

The House of Delegates is the policy-making body for the South Carolina Bar, which has a membership of more than 14,000 lawyers. The House meets at least biannually and includes delegates from each of the 16 judicial circuits.

Mr. Unger has more than 35 years of experience representing private, public and institutional developers, purchasers, equity investors and lenders. He  counsels clients in the development, acquisition, financing, operation, sale and leasing of all forms of commercial, industrial and residential real estate, with a particular emphasis on the resort development industry. Mr. Unger is also a frequent speaker and author on real estate development topics.

Mr. Unger received his JD from the University of South Carolina and his BA from Wofford College.
