(CHARLESTON, S.C.)—Jenna K. McGee, a Partner in the Charleston office of Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP, has been selected to participate in the 2012/2013 Leadership Charleston class, a 10-month program for professionals offering an intensive and up-close look at various issues impacting the local region.
Sponsored by the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Charleston features prominent and stimulating speakers who encourage discussion and participation along with visits to various community assets, including schools, hospitals, the Port of Charleston, military facilities, and a trip to the S.C. Statehouse. Each session examines leadership roles in political, social and economic affairs. Applicants to the highly recognized program must show demonstrated leadership ability and/or potential, community interest and involvement, and the desire to assume expanded community responsibility.
As part of the program, Ms. McGee will study the qualities that make an effective leader, analyze individual leadership roles, and develop personal leadership styles and skills. Participants are also challenged to apply their talents by joining professional associations, civic clubs, public boards and commissions.
In addition to her interest in professional leadership advancement, Ms. McGee also serves on the Professional Development Committee of the South Carolina Bar’s Young Lawyers Division. She is a member of the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association and the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys Association.
Ms. McGee received her JD, cum laude, and her BA from Duke University.
