(RALEIGH, NC) – The Raleigh office of Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP will move to PNC Plaza in late 2014 into space that is “ideally suited for the evolving needs of a growing 21st century law firm,” its Managing Partner Tom Griffin announced today.
“PNC Plaza’s contemporary and efficient design is a great fit for our current and anticipated needs,” said Griffin. “The move offers many strategic benefits, including optimization of technology in our work environment and the latest innovations in office design and energy efficiency. We’ll have the flexibility to grow in order to serve our clients across the region, state and beyond.”
Parker Poe will relocate to the 33-story, mixed-use tower at 301 Fayetteville Street after its lease expires at Wells Fargo Capitol Center. The Firm is entering a long term sublease of approximately 50,000 square feet of space currently occupied by PNC. The space in PNC Plaza will provide more efficient use of approximately the same amount of square footage as the Firm now has, but can be configured to accommodate significantly more attorneys, Griffin said.
PNC Plaza remains Downtown Raleigh’s preeminent office tower and serves as PNC’s regional office. Parker Poe has retained Gensler, a global architectural, planning, consulting and design firm, to configure the space into a finished environment for the needs of a law firm.
Terms of the lease were not disclosed. Rob Hinton and John Daly of CBRE represented Parker Poe in the real estate transaction. Joel Walker previously with CBRE and now with Cassidy Turley represented PNC. PNC Plaza is owned and managed by Highwoods Properties.
Parker Poe currently has 52 attorneys and 41 support staff in its Raleigh office.
