Nancy Olah Receives ATHENA Leadership Award

(CHARLOTTE, N.C.)Nancy L. Olah, Counsel in Parker Poe’s Charlotte office, was the recipient of the 2013 ATHENA Leadership Award, which is given to an established woman leader who demonstrates excellence in her profession, gives back to the community in meaningful ways and supports women leaders. Ms. Olah was one of 15 nominees in the Corporate Category when the award was presented on October 3.

Ms. Olah has more than 30 years of real estate and transactional experience. She focuses her practice on commercial and sustainable development, restrictive covenants and commercial lending and leasing. Ms. Olah is a LEED® Accredited Professional (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), an accreditation awarded to professionals from the Green Building Certification Institute who demonstrate a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Rating System.

In additional to her legal practice, Ms. Olah serves as the board chair of the U.S. Green Building Council’s Charlotte Region Chapter and as a board member of the organization’s North Carolina State Chapter. She is a past president of CREW Charlotte, Inc., a former trustee of CREW Foundation and has served as director, secretary and vice president of Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte.

Ms. Olah received her BA from Oberlin College in 1976 and her JD, cum laude, from the University of Michigan in 1978.
