(CHARLOTTE, N.C.) — Sarah Hutchins, an Associate in Parker Poe’s Charlotte office, recently gave a presentation to the Commercial Finance Association (CFA), Young Professionals Division, entitled “Lender Liability and the Business Impact of Litigation.”
Ms. Hutchins’ presentation at the Young Professionals Lunch & Learn Series addressed issues relating to civil liability concerns, fraud, negligence and government investigations. The discussion reviewed what acts can lead to civil and criminal exposure and how to avoid liability.
The CFA is an international trade association dedicated to the asset-based lending and factoring industries. Ms. Hutchins practices in the area of commercial litigation, with a particular focus on competition and consumer protection law, business torts - including trade secret litigation, fraud and tortious interference claims - and white collar crime investigation and defense.
