Sarah Hutchins Recipient of MCB Young Lawyer of the Year Award

(CHARLOTTE, N.C.) — Sarah Hutchins, an Associate in Parker Poe’s Charlotte office, is the recipient of the 2014 Mecklenburg County Bar Young Lawyer of the Year Award.

The award is issued by the Young Lawyers Division of the Mecklenburg County Bar and recognizes the outstanding contributions young lawyers make to the practice of law and the Mecklenburg County community as a whole.

Ms. Hutchins has been a member of the Bar for six years and currently serves on the Nonprofits and Client Pro Bono Committee, the Bar Foundation Fund Fundraising Committee, and the Young Lawyers Division Pro Bono Committee.  Ms. Hutchins was also recently elected to the Mecklenburg County Bar Board of Directors, where she will serve as board member through 2017.

Ms. Hutchins practices in the area of commercial litigation, with a particular focus on competition and consumer protection law, business torts - including trade secret litigation, fraud and tortious interference claims - and white collar crime investigation and defense.
