COLUMBIA, SC May 5, 2015 — Parker Poe has once again connected with Coach Dawn Staley’s INNERSOLE to help underprivileged children while also providing professional women in Columbia a valuable networking opportunity.
The law firm sponsored a “Women’s Lunch at Center Court” event at the Colonial Life Arena on April 29, 2015. Attendees generously donated over 40 pairs of shoes and more than $2,300 was raised to donate to INNERSOLE, the 501(c)(3) organization created by USC women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley to provide sneakers to needy and homeless children.
“Count on Coach Staley to come up with such an effective, simple way of making a huge difference in young lives. We’re thrilled to be a part of it for the second consecutive year,” said Ray E. Jones, Partner at Parker Poe.
“We’ve now gathered more than 6,000 pairs of shoes since we began this effort a short two years ago,” said Angela O’Neal, INNERSOLE’s Director of Operations. “The partnership with Parker Poe is a perfect example of how the community has stepped up to help, and it was great fun to meet up with such a dynamic group of professional women who are doing so much themselves to raise the bar here in Columbia.”
The organization is in constant need of donations and new sneakers. More information is available at
