(RALEIGH, N.C.)— Brian Darer, Partner at Parker Poe in Raleigh, has earned accreditation as a Board Certified Specialist in Business Bankruptcy by the North Carolina State Bar. The North Carolina State Bar utilizes this certification program to identify lawyers who have demonstrated proficiency in specific fields.

Requirements for obtaining certification include a minimum, in each area, of 5 years of practicing law, 400 hours of bankruptcy experience, 60 hours of bankruptcy continuing legal education and a day-long written examination.

Darer has successfully worked with creditors in hundreds of bankruptcies, foreclosures and workouts, and has litigated in federal and state courts, arbitration, mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Since 2010, Darer has been recognized annually by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers in Bankruptcy/Restructuring.

“Brian’s bankruptcy certification by the North Carolina State Bar is well deserved and speaks volumes of his ability to successfully navigate complex business bankruptcy laws,” said Kevin Chignell, Parker Poe Raleigh Managing Partner. “His track record and knowledge of business bankruptcy laws make him an outstanding partner for creditors and an asset to Parker Poe."
