Attorneys with the Business Investment & Incentives Group of Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP are helping AmbioPharm Inc. (APi) expand its Aiken County operations.
APi is a leading manufacturer of peptides and developer of generic drugs. The company plans to add 100 new jobs over the next five years as it invests $18.8 million to undertake the addition of its existing facility. APi plans to construct 40,000 square feet of additional manufacturing and headquarters space on its 32 acre corporate campus located at 1024 Dittman Court in North Augusta, South Carolina.
Peptides are a chemical compound with a wide range of applications in medicine and biotechnology. APi began its operations in 2007 and currently employs more than 200 people in North Augusta and in Shanghai, China.
“APi is a growing leader in developing and manufacturing pharmaceutical products. We’re pleased to have been able to help this provider of healthcare solutions expand its US operations,” says Sam Moses, a Partner with Parker Poe in Columbia and Co-Chair of the firm’s Business Incentives & Investment Group.
“Our expansion in our company is a testament to the hard work of our employees, the faith our customers have in the quality of our product and delivery system, and the invaluable support we have received from Aiken County, the State of South Carolina and legal team at Parker Poe. We look forward to a prosperous future in Aiken County,” says Stephen Kiel, Chief Financial Officer of AmbioPharm.
