Charlotte, NC – Harvey Cosper, a longtime member of Parker Poe, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the age of 67.

Harvey graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1970, and earned a JD degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1975, where he served on the Law Review. He served in the US Army Reserves for six years.

Harvey became a partner and head of the medical malpractice defense team at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP. In the early years, his trial practice ranged from automobile cases to insurance disputes. Ultimately he became highly skilled in medical malpractice, defending health care practitioners in often difficult, complicated and catastrophic cases. In every case, he treated parties on both sides with deep respect and caring. He retired from Parker Poe in 2013.
