Henry Campen to Speak at the AWEA Wind Project Siting and Environmental Compliance Conference 2016

Raleigh, NC – Henry Campen, partner in Parker Poe’s Raleigh office and leader of the firm’s multidisciplinary Energy practice, will be a panelist during the American Wind Energy Association’s (AWEA) Wind Project Siting and Environmental Compliance Conference 2016.The conference will be held in Charleston, South Carolina on March 22 - 23, 2016.

Henry will be speaking on “First Steps to Success” during the session, “Protecting the Industry’s Achilles Heel,” moderated by John Davies, CEO of Davies Public Affairs. The other panelists include Ben Brazell, Principal, Director of Environmental Services, EDR; Benjamin Kelahan, Partner, Five Corners Strategies; and Mark Bastasch, Principal Acoustical Engineer, CH2M HILL Wind Turbine Acoustics.

The AWEA Wind Project Siting and Environmental Compliance Conference is where leaders from the wind industry, environmental permitting and compliance sector, the scientific community and regulatory officials come together for a robust discussion about the current state of siting and environmental compliance, and network. Key take-away insights from the conference will include wind energy development, operations, evolving trends, and strategies for improving the project permitting process and maximizing the output of operating assets while increasing regulatory and legal certainty.

Henry Campen has been a successful advocate for companies regulated by state utility  commissions for more than 25 years. Mr. Campen provides project development and permitting advice for renewable energy developers and market participants across a broad spectrum of technologies. He helps developers of wind, solar, biomass and fuel cell projects successfully navigate complex federal, state and local regulations for electric generating plants. Mr. Campen has permitted over 3000-megawatts of renewable energy-fueled electrical generation.
