Russell Killen, a partner in Parker Poe’s Raleigh office, focuses his practice in the areas of construction and land development. Representing clients such as universities, real estate developers, hospitals, manufacturers and engineering firms, Russell advises on construction projects throughout the country and around the globe and helps clients resolve complex disputes at every stage of the development cycle.
Russell is passionately committed to the community and believes that development is not just about building but also conserving. As board chair of the Triangle Land Conservancy, he is active in the opening celebration of the George and Julia Brumley Family Nature Preserve, a 613-acre preserve for sustainable land management and recreation. Strongly dedicated to public service, Russell served as mayor of Knightdale from 2007 to 2015, and currently sits on the board of directors for the John Rex Foundation and Wake Education Partnership.
