Charlotte, NC – Parker Poe is pleased to announce that Charlotte partner Craig Lynch has been elevated to chair the Florida State University (FSU) Alumni Association’s national board of directors. The FSU Alumni Association recently presented Craig with the Circle of Gold award, recognizing individuals who personify the university’s tradition of excellence through their service and achievements.
“The Circle of Gold award is meant for alumni and friends who have a passion for making FSU stronger tomorrow than it is today,” said Scott Atwell, president of the FSU Alumni Association. “Craig Lynch has spent his alumni years doing just that – from the grassroots of leading an alumni chapter in Charlotte to now serving as chair of the alumni board. His story is one of giving back time, talent and treasure to an institution that laid the foundation for his personal and professional success.”
The passing of the board chair’s gavel to Craig took place on Seminole Tribe property the first weekend in June. Craig has served on the FSU alumni board since 2011. Its 40 members represent the interests of the university’s roughly 330,000 living alumni. The Princeton Review ranks FSU’s alumni network among the top 20 nationwide.
Craig graduated from FSU in 1981. In addition to his service to the university, he has volunteered with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society for more than two decades. He is now vice chair of the society’s board of directors. In 2014, Craig served as president of the national board of the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Law’s Alumni Association and as a board member of UNC’s General Alumni Association.
At Parker Poe, Craig is serving his fourth term on the firm’s board of directors. As a veteran in the Real Estate & Commercial Development practice group, he has helped develop pragmatic solutions for clients’ commercial real estate needs for 30 years.
