Charlotte, NC – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP, a business law firm with seven offices across the Southeast, is proud to announce that The Mecklenburg Times has named Shalanna Pirtle to its list of “50 Most Influential Women.” She was recognized among other award winners at a May 19 event. Shalanna is a partner in Parker Poe’s Charlotte office and chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee.
The Mecklenburg Times created the “50 Most Influential Women” event to spotlight the important role women play in the greater Charlotte region, its economy and society. The winners are nominated and judged by their peers, with an emphasis on community leadership and influence.
In the edition of The Mecklenburg Times highlighting the winners, Shalanna described her ability to conquer Crohn’s disease and her promotion to partner at Parker Poe as her most significant personal and professional accomplishments. She also detailed how her passion for impacting the lives of others led her to create a company that focuses on improving the availability of affordable housing in Charlotte. In addition, Shalanna mentors young women to ensure successful career paths, and she leads diversity and inclusion initiatives at Parker Poe and in the legal profession. She is also active in the Mecklenburg County Bar and the Charlotte Chamber.
Shalanna’s legal practice focuses on employment counseling, internal investigations and litigation.
