Greenville, S.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Richard Few will join Alex Evins in leading Parker Poe’s community engagement and growth efforts in Upstate South Carolina. The team of both Greenville and Spartanburg leaders provides broad and unique counsel for a range of clients across the Upstate, where the firm has more than doubled its presence since opening the Greenville office in 2016.

Richard has deep knowledge of Greenville and a long history of serving the region. He is an alumnus of Leadership Greenville, and has volunteered with the Greenville Little Theatre, the Greenville Humane Society, and Ronald McDonald House Charities. He has previously served as board chair of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce’s Government Affairs Department, chair of the American Red Cross’s Greenville chapter, and on the Greenville County Planning Commission. He also has served on the board of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce.

In addition, Richard served as firmwide managing partner of Leatherwood Walker Todd & Mann from 2001 to 2008 and, after a merger, as managing partner of Smith Moore Leatherwood’s Greenville office from 2008 to 2010.

At Parker Poe, Richard provides strategic tax planning and structuring advice to clients in mergers, acquisitions, public financings, and other transactions. He also helps businesses relocating or expanding in South Carolina with economic development incentives.
