Sam Moses Serves on Advisory Board for Comprehensive Book on Economic Development

Columbia, S.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that partner Sam Moses served on the advisory board for Economic Development for the Team, a book from economic development management-advisory firm Blane, Canada Ltd. The book is a comprehensive review of the fundamentals of economic development.

The author, Eric Canada, thanked Sam and the others on his advisory board “for their review and valuable suggestions.” The book was written to help every member of local economic development teams, from staff to board members to volunteers to elected officials. It includes real-world stories and a reference glossary that covers the building blocks of the profession.

Sam leads Parker Poe’s Economic Development Team and co-chairs its Manufacturing & Distribution Team. He represents U.S. and foreign companies on business transactions, and he coordinates business expansion and incentives projects for companies throughout the United States. Prior to joining Parker Poe, he served as managing director of the State of South Carolina's European Office in Germany, advising European investors on U.S. site location projects. He also managed South Carolina's export development program for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, advising U.S. companies on international trade and market entry strategies.

Since 2010, Sam has been involved in business expansion and incentives projects resulting in more than $5 billion in capital investment and the creation of more than 5,000 jobs in various industries, including food processing, automotive, powertrain, metalworking, advanced materials, electronics, renewable energy, chemicals, agribusiness, and aerospace. Sam has represented companies from Germany, Canada, China, Austria, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Israel, Poland, India, Brazil, Mexico, and Slovenia.
