Raleigh, N.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Raleigh partner Catharine Arrowood has been elected to the board of directors for the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF).
Catharine will provide leadership as the NCCF advances its mission of inspiring North Carolinians to make lasting, meaningful contributions to their communities. NCCF was established to provide long-term support to community needs across the state. It does that by sustaining endowments, providing grants, and ensuring that rural communities have a voice at the philanthropic table.
A native of Robeson County, Catharine is deeply involved in the North Carolina community. She serves on the board of trustees of UNC Rex Healthcare and the board of directors of the North Carolina Symphony Foundation. She recently co-chaired the N.C. Commission on the Administration of Law and Justice (NCCALJ), which spent more than a year conducting a comprehensive review of North Carolina’s court system. She has also served as president of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Wake County Bar Association.
At Parker Poe, Catharine has successfully litigated and arbitrated for large and small businesses for decades. Her clients have included educational institutions, utilities, insurance companies, accounting and law firms, health care and biotech firms, banks, and commercial aerospace companies.
