Charlotte, N.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Debbie Kleman has been elected to the board of directors for Susan G. Komen Charlotte. The nonprofit helps meet the most critical needs related to breast cancer in the 13-county Charlotte area and invests in research to prevent and cure the disease.
As a member of its board of directors, Debbie will provide leadership on how Susan G. Komen Charlotte can continue to maximize its impact, including through the Race for the Cure and other events. Debbie was diagnosed with breast cancer eight years ago and is now finished with treatment and doing well. Her personal experience is part of why she is so passionate about the organization and its mission.
Debbie also serves on the board of directors for Parker Poe. In her legal practice, she advises clients on qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, executive compensation arrangements, equity based arrangements, and other benefit plans. She also assists clients with a broad range of employee benefits issues.
