Tyler Smith was a panelist and Todd Haynie was the moderator at an event on investment vehicles hosted by the Urban Land Institute's South Carolina chapter. The panel discussed the similarities and differences between a Section 1031 exchange and an Opportunity Zone investment. Both can provide major tax benefits to investors, and Tyler explained how the two can work together, as well as when one may offer a greater benefit than the other.
