Charlotte, N.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Brad Overcash has been elected to chair the Gaston College board of trustees. Brad has served on the official governing body of the community college since 2016 and was elected to lead it earlier this month.
Gaston College serves both Gaston and Lincoln counties, with more than 5,000 students each term and more than 16,000 students taking part in its continuing education programs on its three campuses each year. Gaston College is also home to the North Carolina Textile Technology Center, which has provided technical support to the state’s textile industry for more than 70 years.
“It is an honor to be elected by my fellow board members to serve as the chairman of the board of trustees,” Brad says. “Gaston College provides opportunities for the citizens of Gaston and Lincoln counties (and beyond) to better their lives through education and training. I look forward to continuing to promote the college and support the people of North Carolina.”
Brad is a resident of Belmont in Gaston County. At Parker Poe, Brad represents clients in a broad range of litigation, including professional negligence defense, long-term care/nursing home defense, and general litigation. He also practices in the area of insurance coverage.
