Atlanta, Ga. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Ellen Smith has been elected to the Executive Committee of the State Bar of Georgia’s Real Property Law Section. In that position, Ellen will play a leading role in Georgia’s commercial real estate industry.
The Real Property Law Section is Georgia’s top resource for commercial and residential real estate lawyers. It sponsors four seminars each year, produces a quarterly newsletter, and offers a variety of educational and networking opportunities. Its Executive Committee works to improve the law by proposing and monitoring legislation, creating initiatives to address ethical issues, and coordinating pro bono opportunities.
Ellen is extremely active in the Georgia community. She serves on the boards of directors for The Atlanta Women’s Foundation, the Georgia Wireless Association, and the Council for Quality Growth, where she is also an Executive Committee member. She has held leadership roles with Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Atlanta and the Cobb County Library Foundation.
