Charlotte, N.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Ashley Edwards has been elected to the leadership team of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Section. As a member of that team, called the council, Ashley will help drive education and networking for bankruptcy attorneys across the state.

The NCBA Bankruptcy Section maintains a bankruptcy manual for practitioners, helps mold the NCBA’s legislative agenda, sponsors continuing legal education (CLE) programs and an “Annual Bankruptcy Institute,” and creates networking opportunities for attorneys who practice in North Carolina’s three federal bankruptcy districts.

Ashley is also a leader at the regional level, having served on the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Southeastern Advisory Board since 2016. She is a graduate of the Mecklenburg County Bar’s Leadership Institute and has chaired the bar’s CLE Committee. Additionally, she chaired the litigation subcommittee for the Western District of N.C. Bankruptcy Local Rules Committee as it worked through revisions to bankruptcy rules in 2013 and 2020.

At Parker Poe, Ashley represents creditors in all aspects of commercial debt collection and loss mitigation, including loan restructuring, bankruptcy, litigation, and post-judgment execution. Her clients include Fortune 500 companies, national, regional, and community banks, nontraditional lenders, finance companies, lessors, and manufacturers.
