Charleston, S.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Charleston partner Michael Larsen has been elected as a Fellow in the American College of Bond Counsel.
The American College of Bond Counsel was formed in 1995 “for the purpose of recognizing lawyers who have established reputations among their peers for their skill, experience and high standards of professional and ethical conduct in the practice of bond law.” Admission as a Fellow is extremely limited, and nominees must have more than a decade of experience and outstanding reputations in the field of municipal bond law.
Mike focuses his practice on the tax issues related to public finance transactions. He has experience in a wide variety of public finance transactions, having served as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, borrower’s counsel, and special tax counsel on financings for, among other entities, state and local governments, cultural institutions, public and private universities, hospital systems, water and sewer authorities, and single-family and multifamily housing authorities.
Mike is a member of Parker Poe’s Public Finance Team, which has received a National Tier 1 ranking by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers for four straight years. He joins Scott Leo, a Charlotte partner who leads the Public Finance Team, as a Fellow in the American College of Bond Counsel.
