Parker Poe is hosting a webinar on November 11 from noon to 1:15 on key issues for transactional attorneys involving the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).

CFIUS has been expanded and now applies to a broader scope of investments by foreign people, including M&A transactions, investments in U.S. businesses, and real estate purchases or leases. This expanded jurisdiction means that a wide variety of transactions involving foreign investors may fall under CFIUS jurisdiction – not just traditional M&A but also real estate, lending, and technology transfers.

Dominic Lerario, Eric Cottrell and Al Guarnieri will present on the ways CFIUS review can be triggered, how to spot potential pitfalls, and how to ensure success when one of the parties to your transaction is a foreign person.

You can register for the webinar here. CLE credit in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia has been requested.
