Tory Summey was quoted in an article on the Society for Human Resource Management's website about how employers can deal with mask fatigue.
"Mask policies have never been popular, and continuing to enforce these policies will unquestionably become more difficult as more people are vaccinated," Tory said. However, he noted that public health authorities continue to emphasize the importance of masking to limit the spread of COVID-19 in conjunction with widespread vaccination.
In addition, he said employers should remember that the most vocal critics of these policies are in the minority – most employees have adapted to wearing masks, and no longer enforcing a mask mandate would create its own employee relations challenges.
