Raleigh, N.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Zack Anstett served as a coach for the Client Counseling Team at Campbell Law in downtown Raleigh. In this role, he coached second-and third-year law students as they prepared to meet with individuals that needed on-the-spot legal advice and counseling. On February 6, 2022, these students participated in the Regional American Bar Association (ABA) Client Counseling Competition. The competition measured the student's ability to deal with a client’s non-legal alternatives as well as their legal concerns.
To be successful, teams analyzed the law as applied to the client’s issue and provided a plan of action. During the February 6 event, two of the Campbell Law competitors finished as championship finalists in the annual competition. This was the students' first appearance as client counselors and they emerged as one of the top teams with an undefeated record of 3-0 after the preliminary rounds.
At Parker Poe, Zack represents employers and municipalities before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Department of Labor (DOL), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) at the federal and state level. He has also defended employers and municipalities against lawsuits related to Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Retaliatory Employment Discrimination Act (REDA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal and state employment laws.
