Bruce Thompson was quoted by the Charlotte Business Journal in an article addressing the lack of shovel-ready sites in North Carolina. Economic developers are concerned that demand will soon surpass supply.

The article discussed large projects the state has won, including Apple. Bruce said, “It’s a success that we attracted those big projects, but in this world you’re always as successful as the next project, and there are others lined up and looking at North Carolina and other states.”

Bruce went on to explain the advantages of officials having a catalog of available sites. States with a catalog that outlines shovel-ready sites will do much better than states without.
