Atlanta, GA – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce the firm is representing North American Properties (NAP) in its redevelopment of The Forum Peachtree Corners in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. Last month, NAP gained approval on a rezoning request that would allow enhancements to The Forum’s existing components as well as the addition of a boutique hotel, multifamily housing, office space, and a parking deck. A second rezoning request was also approved for NAP to build multifamily housing on an undeveloped site connected to Peachtree Corners Town Center, located directly across the street from The Forum.

NAP’s Atlanta office, which specializes in reimagining mixed-use assets through value-add investments, is overseeing both projects. Locally, the company is best known for the turnaround of Atlantic Station and Colony Square in Midtown Atlanta as well as the ground-up development of Avalon in Alpharetta.

At The Forum, NAP plans to transform the 500,000-square-foot lifestyle center into a true mixed-use destination by adding density and expanding and improving the public realm. The developer is also updating the merchandise mix to include more food and beverage offerings, up-and-coming digitally native brands, and higher-end services. On the Town Center side, NAP will construct “Innovation Lofts,” an upscale residential complex. Upon completion, both properties will feature vital pedestrian connections to the city’s multi-use trail system.

The team at Parker Poe representing NAP includes Atlanta partner Ellen W. Smith. Parker Poe led the entitlement efforts, including obtaining rezonings for both properties. The team is also advising on development strategy and related transactional agreements, community engagement, and government relations.
