Charlotte, NC – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Shalanna Pirtle is now the general counsel of the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance.
As general counsel, Shalanna serves as the primary source of legal counsel, guidance, and advice across many areas. The Charlotte Regional Business Alliance is the charter member of the US Chamber of Commerce for Charlotte and promotes the advancement of the 14-county Charlotte region.
Shalanna Pirtle is Parker Poe’s executive overseeing all aspects of talent management, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). She sets the strategic vision and oversees the implementation of the firm’s efforts related to DEI, professional development, and recruiting and retention.
In addition, Shalanna is a trusted mediator and employment attorney. Certified as a mediator by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission and serving on the panel for Alterity ADR, Shalanna mediates disputes of varying subject matters at the state and federal levels, both before and during litigation. Shalanna also represents employers in all industries and aspects of the employment relationship and regularly defends employers in litigation under all of the state and federal anti-discrimination laws, as well as employment contract disputes, wrongful discharge claims, and wage and hour issues.
