Atlanta, GA – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Angela Robinson has been elected chair of the Eminent Domain Section for the State Bar of Georgia. Angela will play a leading role in promoting education within the legal community and the public relating to the law of eminent domain.
The Eminent Domain Section publishes a newsletter, offers seminars, and monitors legislation. In addition to serving lawyers, it offers seminars and updates for governmental representatives, property owners, and appraisers across Georgia. It also honors practitioners for their outstanding contributions and furtherance of constitutional principles with the Charles N. Pursley Jr. Eminent Domain Section Award. (Charles is retired of counsel at Parker Poe.) Angela previously served as the section’s vice chair, secretary, and treasurer.
In her own practice, Angela has represented property owners and businesses of all sizes in eminent domain and condemnation proceedings brought by condemning authorities at the state, county, and local levels. She also represents condemning authorities in eminent domain proceedings, giving her a well-rounded perspective on how to reach resolutions that make sense for all the parties involved.
Her clients include large and small businesses, developers, mixed-use and shopping center owners and tenants, real estate investment trusts, hotel operators and owners, convenience store owners, restaurant franchisors and franchisees, and local governments.
Angela is a native of Georgia who earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgia Tech and her law degree from Georgia State.
