Emily is a partner in Columbia who represents public and private organizations in capital financing projects and economic development projects. She regularly advises and assists nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations with federal and state tax and corporate law compliance. She has been a leader in Parker Poe's Government & Municipalities Industry Team.
Outside of work, Emily is president of the board of directors of the South Carolina Philharmonic, which has performed live symphonic music and provided dynamic educational opportunities since 1964. She has served on its board of directors since 2018. She is a graduate of Leadership South Carolina and an alum of Leadership Columbia, each of which focuses on service and civic engagement for the betterment of the state and city.
