Raleigh, NC – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Jeremy Locklear has been elected to the board of governors for the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA). As a board member, Jeremy will play a leading role in fulfilling the NCBA’s mission of serving the public and legal profession across North Carolina.
The NCBA was founded in 1899 and today serves lawyers, judges, paralegals, and law students across the state. It provides continuing legal education, advocates before the legislature, supports the practice of law, and offers opportunities to network with other professionals and to serve North Carolinians.
Jeremy has previously held leadership positions with the NCBA Young Lawyers Division, including as co-chair of its Membership Committee. In addition, Jeremy remains a committed member to the NCBA’s Minorities in the Profession Committee, including serving as co-chair of the 1L Summer Associate Program subcommittee and as a member on the Legal Legends of Color Award subcommittee.
At Parker Poe, Jeremy represents employers in a broad range of employment-related disputes and litigation. He also helps clients navigate complex federal and state laws and regulations through providing advice on day-to-day employment issues.
Jeremy is the latest Parker Poe attorney to serve on the NCBA board of governors. Charles Raynal recently concluded a term on its board, and Catharine Arrowood previously served on it as well.
