Raleigh, NC – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce Deb Stern has been elected to the board of directors of the North Carolina Society of Health Care Attorneys. Deb will provide oversight as the nonprofit continues its mission of providing professional education and other services to North Carolina attorneys who have an interest in health care law.

The society offers its members a variety of programs and activities, including an annual conference that focuses on current and future health care legal trends and issues. It also hosts seminars on federal and state legislative and regulatory developments throughout the year.

Her practice includes Medicaid and Medicare regulations and audits, health care facility licensure, surveys, and certification issues, as well as advising on HIPAA and other privacy laws. She also represents health care entities in Certificate of Need (CON) matters and represents medical providers before professional licensure boards.
