Kelley Pearson is presenting on Friday, November 3 at the Education Law Center's Litigators' Workshop in New York City. She and her fellow panelists, including from the Legal Defense Fund of the NAACP, will discuss the key standards at play in litigation concerning the adequacy of school funding.
Kelley has represented school districts in their efforts to seek adequate and equitable funding, including in litigation against a state. Her interest in a 1995 Wyoming Supreme Court ruling on equitable school funding was a driver for her decision to pursue a legal career.
The ELC Litigators' Workshop brings together lawyers representing plaintiffs in school finance and other equity lawsuits across the county.
