Columbia, SC – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Sam Moses has been elected to the board of directors for the South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association (SCEDA). It is the latest example of Sam's leading role in the Southeast's economic development community.
Since 1965, SCEDA has served as South Carolina's voice for economic development. The nonprofit has over 600 members that include local and regional economic developers, local and state government officials, and professionals from law firms, consulting firms, construction and engineering firms, financial institutions, and higher education.
Sam has also served on the regional and state board of directors for the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern United States since 2011, as well as the board of directors for the South Carolina I-77 Alliance since 2020. He has been a member of the Midlands International Trade Association and the Columbia World Affairs Council. He has formed a public-private partnership of over 50 public and private sector organizations within the Southeast to prospect collaboratively overseas as well.
In addition, Sam is a co-founder of the Global Carolina Connections conference. Over the past 10 years, it has brought together thousands of business and economic development leaders to discuss trends in foreign direct investment (FDI) and international manufacturing.
At Parker Poe, Sam leads the Business Expansion & Location Solutions (BELS) Team, which provides legal and location solutions for companies expanding their operations across the United States. In this collaborative model with Parker Poe Consulting, experienced consultants provide data-driven location analysis, working alongside attorneys advising on legal strategy, to create a seamless and proven structure for successful expansion projects.
