Reagan Sauls presented a panel June 4 on the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) as part of the Georgia School Safety and Homeland Security Conference in Columbus, GA.
Reagan provided an overview on the types of information contained in the act and how that information can be shared in a health or emergency situation. Reagan also discussed best practices on including language specific to FERPA in law enforcement memorandum of understanding.
The Georgia School Safety and Homeland Security Conference is done in collaboration with the Georgia Department of Education and is dedicated to school safety in the state.
