Alonzo Llorens presented a panel June 25 about how to structure teaming arrangements to win at federal contracting as part of the 8(a) contracting event held by the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center at Morehouse College. Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act is aimed at helping firms owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.
Alonzo's panel covered choosing the right structure for federal contracting, understanding the differences between teaming, subcontracting, and joint ventures as well as notable compliance and regulatory considerations for federal contracts. He also shared real-world examples of successful teaming arrangements.
