Michael Kelley co-presented a webinar hosted by Mass Torts Made Perfect on the Senate budget bill’s provision that seeks to impose a 40.8% excise tax on third party capital providers to law firms and plaintiffs/claimants. Michael also co-presented about how the bill's provision would require those firms and claimants to undertake new withholding tax obligations regarding recoveries paid to them from successful court proceedings or settled lawsuits.
