Raleigh, NC – Steve Carey has been elected to the leadership council of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Antitrust & Complex Business Disputes Law Section. As a council member, Steve will help drive education and networking for litigators across the state.

The NCBA Antitrust & Complex Business Disputes Law Section serves lawyers who represent clients in complex business litigation — such as class actions — as well as antitrust and trade regulation, including unfair and deceptive trade practices. The section provides opportunities related to continuing legal education (CLE), pro bono projects, legislative support, and networking.

Steve also serves as a member of the NCBA's Appellate Rules Committee. The committee examines issues arising from the rules of appellate procedure in North Carolina and recommend revisions for the state Supreme Court.

At Parker Poe, Steve leads the firm's Appellate Practice. He focuses on complex litigation and appeals. He represents companies, financial institutions, local governments, health care providers, and universities in high-stakes litigation and regulatory actions.
