Samantha Lewis and Lexi Trumble examined the Trump administration’s Title IX priorities during the Council of School Attorneys (COSA) 2025 Fall School Law Seminar.

Samantha and Lexi discussed transgender students' athletic participation, the dismantling of the Department of Education, and Title IX’s intersection with special education. They addressed the legal risks for administrators and education attorneys, the anticipated compliance challenges, and the evolving federal-state tensions in education governance.

COSA’s seminar brought together school attorneys from across the country for presentations and legal education on current law and litigation affecting public schools. COSA is part of the National School Boards Association.
