Raleigh, NC – The North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization has certified Raleigh partner Sloan Carpenter in trademark law.

Sloan obtained the certification by passing a North Carolina-specific exam, satisfying continuing education requirements, receiving references from numerous peers, and devoting her practice time to the trademark specialty. She joins 25 attorneys in North Carolina with the trademark law certification, including fellow Parker Poe Raleigh partners Will Cannon and Chris Thomas.

Sloan focuses her practice on intellectual property rights, disputes, and transactions. She counsels clients on U.S. and international trademark search and clearance, prosecution, licensing, and enforcement. She represents clients in federal and state courts, before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), and in domain name disputes under ICANN’s Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy.
