Atlanta, GA – Parker Poe's Atlanta office is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026, marking a decade of dynamic growth to help clients seize opportunities and navigate roadblocks. What started with 4 attorneys and 1 business professional has scaled to 49 attorneys and 27 business professionals today.
"We continue to grow strategically to serve the legal needs of diverse — in every sense of the word — companies, educational and other institutions, and individuals in Georgia, the Southeast, and throughout the country," said Atlanta Office Development Partner Ellen Smith. "We have built a culture of go-getting problem-solvers who say 'yes' to our clients' opportunities and are deeply involved in the metro Atlanta community."
Parker Poe's Atlanta office is women-led and reflects the inclusivity of the city and region's business community. The firm’s attorneys serve as outside general counsel for clients across multiple industries and have particular experience in commercial real estate, education, eminent domain, employment, finance, litigation, retail, and sports and entertainment.
"We are known beyond the areas we provide services, and we take pride in that fact," said Christian Torgrimson, a partner and member of Parker Poe's board of directors. "Clients depend on us to help them solve any kind of problem, including by thinking like entrepreneurs and making connections across the community. Those connections reflect the fact that many of us have spent our entire careers serving clients and advancing causes in Georgia."
Christian, for example, is a past president of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL) and served on its executive board for more than 10 years. She was instrumental in creating the GAWL Foundation in 2003, serving as its founding president for two years. Parker Poe Atlanta attorneys and business professionals have also served in leadership roles for organizations such as:
- Alliance Theatre
- Atlanta Association of Legal Administrators
- Atlanta Bar Association
- Atlanta Business League
- Atlanta Legal Aid
- Atlanta Women's Foundation
- Cobb Chamber of Commerce/SelectCobb
- Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Atlanta
- Council for Quality Growth
- Crossroads Community Ministries

"Our team in Atlanta represents so much of what we strive to accomplish – a fierce commitment to our clients and communities, a strong culture of collaboration and teamwork, and a championing of diverse perspectives," said Tom Griffin, the firm's managing partner. "Opening an Atlanta office 10 years ago was a critical step in our strategy to continue building a leading business law firm in the Southeast. We are so grateful for how our clients and team have responded in the decade since, and we remain focused on the Atlanta legal market as part of our overall strategic growth."
