Charlotte, NC – The College of Law Practice Management has elected Parker Poe Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer Kristen Bateman Leis to its board of trustees. Kristen has stepped into several leadership roles for the College since her 2019 induction as one of its Fellows, an honor that fewer than 300 practitioners around the world have received.
The College consists of lawyers, judges, law firm executives, government officials, law professors, corporate legal executives, in-house counsel, legal consultants, and others who have made significant and sustained contributions to the improvement of law practice management and to the enhancement of the professional quality of and public respect for the law. Kristen chaired its Futures Conference this year and was on the conference planning committee in 2023, both of which are designed to spotlight innovation and help shape the future of legal services.
At Parker Poe, Kristen is a member of the Executive Team who helps bring the voice of the client into the firm to influence and drive business strategy and long-term success. She utilizes her passion for the business of law, as well as her extensive law firm client development and marketing experience, to set the strategy for the firm's client relations and business development, its competitive and business intelligence, its marketing communications, and its practice management programs.
Kristen has over 25 years of experience driving strategic growth and superior client service for some of the most well-respected business law firms in the Southeast, Midwest, and Pacific Northwest. She was named one of the 50 Most Influential Women in 2024 by The Mecklenburg Times and NC Lawyers Weekly and named the Sales & Service Executive of the Year in 2018 by the Legal Sales and Service Organization (LSSO). She served as co-chair of the Legal Marketing Association's Annual Conferences in 2020 and 2021, and she has served on advisory boards for Manzama (a global provider of market intelligence) and Society 54 (a consultancy for professional services firms).
