Key Legislative Changes Impacting Georgia K-12 Schools

Parker Poe Webinar

  • May 28, 2026

In May 2026, Ashley Akins, Reagan Sauls, and Brittany Zwald recorded a webinar walking through the most significant new requirements from the 2026 Georgia General Assembly session affecting public school districts, including changes to academic programming, school safety, employee leave and workforce issues, financial oversight, student rights and access, and charter/nontraditional education programs.

These measures will require local boards of education and district administrators to review policies, plan for implementation, and coordinate across finance, human resources, technology, and school safety teams.
