Atlanta, GA – In fall 2026, Lexi Trumble will begin teaching a sports law and policy course at her alma mater, Clemson University. Lexi developed the undergraduate honors course, which will examine the legal and regulatory framework governing college sports.
She will cover topics such as Title IX gender equity, name, image, and likeness (NIL) regulation, NCAA governance, transfer eligibility, and student-athlete employment. Her course will emphasize how colleges and universities, along with their athletic departments, are navigating rapidly changing legal and policy requirements.
Lexi graduated from the Clemson University Honors College, cum laude, in 2016 with degrees in psychology and sociology. While there, she competed as a gymnast and became a four-time NAIGC National Championships qualifier. She received her law degree in 2019 from the University of Georgia.
Lexi joined Parker Poe’s Atlanta office in 2024, where she focuses her practice on advising colleges and universities on a range of complex compliance issues, with a particular emphasis on how Title IX impacts gender equity and college athletics.
With respect to athletics, Lexi assists colleges and universities with short- and long-term strategic planning initiatives, guides clients through navigating federal Office for Civil Rights investigations and enforcement actions related to gender discrimination and sexual misconduct, and defends educational institutions against federal class actions and other litigation. She also regularly advises on rapidly evolving college athletics and education developments, including instituting policies that govern the use of student-athletes' NIL and advising institutions affected by or considering conference realignment.
