Ellen Smith was quoted in Bisnow about how a recent survey revealed that access to power is the number one concern for companies looking to locate projects, including data centers.

"It’s not just data centers," Ellen said. "It’s industrial. It’s everything. It’s really a shift in how people are considering projects. And nobody is using less energy."

Five years ago, companies and site selection consultants were focused on property entitlements and the time it took to get a green light on a project, Ellen told the publication.

"That has flipped," she said. "The first [question] is, 'Is there power, and can we reasonably get it?'"
