Columbia, SC – Parker Poe's Columbia office is celebrating 30 years of partnering with clients and community leaders to advance their goals and strengthen the region.
In November 1996, the firm opened its Columbia office with two attorneys and one legal professional. Today, the Columbia office has nearly 60 team members, including attorneys and consultants with deep relationships across South Carolina’s business and government landscape.
"Columbia has changed significantly over the past 30 years, and our office has evolved alongside it to serve clients and the community," said Ray Jones, a partner who leads the firm's Columbia office. "We are honored that local governments and businesses here have trusted us with their most important issues. We have a robust growth plan in Columbia and look forward to another 30 years."

Twenty-one years later, Parker Poe Consulting has grown to provide site selection and economic development, federal lobbying, state government relations and public affairs, local government consulting, and tax credits and incentives services. The success of the consulting model has led Parker Poe to expand it to Charlotte, North Carolina; Greenville, South Carolina; and Washington, DC.
Clients, state and local leaders, and other friends of the firm gathered recently in Columbia to celebrate the 30th anniversary.
