Greenville and Columbia, SC — Attorneys and economic development professionals with Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein and Parker Poe Consulting were integral in helping Hi-Tech Mold & Engineering and its Baxter Enterprises subsidiary commit to a $20.7 million facility to manufacture plastic molds and injection-molded products in Oconee County.
The 87,000 square-foot facility will be home to 87 new jobs over the next five years. Based in Michigan, Hi-Tech Mold & Engineering designs, builds and repairs molds. Maryland-based Baxter Enterprises makes injection-molded parts. Together the family-owned firms employ about 250 people.

Job development credits and a $200,000 grant for real property improvements from the Coordinating Council for Economic Development accompany the firm’s $20.7 million investment in the new facility in the Oconee Industry & Technology Park adjacent to S.C. Highway 11. Hi-Tech Mold & Engineering expects to use 17,500 square feet of the facility while Baxter Enterprises will use the rest of the space.
