Wachovia Presents Cornerstone Award to Parker Poe

In appreciation of their outstanding level of support and total number of years supporting the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce through Team Wachovia, Wachovia Corporation honored the law firm of Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP with the Wachovia 2006 Cornerstone Award.  An event last night recognized Wachovia’s Charlotte Chamber of Commerce partners who made significant contributions to the Chamber’s annual fundraising campaign. 

Wachovia executives David Edmiston and Paul Grube, who is also the Chairman of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, presented the Cornerstone Award to Parker Poe.  William P. Farthing, Jr. and W. Samuel Woodard accepted the award on behalf of the firm. 

Parker Poe’s longtime support of the Chamber also includes the service of its attorneys in leadership roles.  Mr. Farthing currently serves on the Board of Advisors and Anthony Fox is currently the General Counsel and a member of the Board of Directors.  Mr.  Woodard previously served on the Board of Advisors and Irvin (Hank) W. Hankins III and George H. Pretty have previously served as General Counsel to the Chamber.
